About

Margate Electronics is an experimental electronic music label and event series based in Margate, UK.

Since September 2023 we have presented live performances by artists working across experimental electronic music. Our first four events took place at Faith in Strangers before moving to Margate Arts Club, with a showcase night at Cafe OTO, London, in February 2026. Many performances are recorded and archived here on the site.

The label releases limited edition cassettes and digital albums of original work by artists connected to our events, some of it recorded live on the night.

From May 2025 to July 2026, Margate Electronics was supported by Arts Council England through the Supporting Grassroots Music programme, which funded events M.E.#8 to M.E.#12. We now run without a budget, so every ticket and tape you buy supports the artists and keeps the project going. If you’d like to support Margate Electronics through a donation or funding, we’d love to hear from you, get in touch.
